青海建筑职业技术学院是经青海省人民政府批准并报国家教育部备案的公办、全日制建筑、通信类普通高职专科院校。学院位于西宁市南川西路96号。校园环境优雅，交通便利。学院成立于1978年。历经30多年的办学，现已发展成为以高等职业教育为主体，中职教育、成人教育与函授教育并举，以建筑工程类和电子信息类专业为主导，集教学、科研、培训和职业技能鉴定、工程设计、工程造价咨询、工程监理、建筑规划为一体的多专业、多层次、多功能、多形式的办学格局。目前，学院设有建筑工程系、管理工程系、建筑系、市政机电系、信息技术系和成人教育部等教学、教辅部门。拥有在校生4000多名，有教职工200多人。
